1. Definitions

  • “Company” refers to Chilltrailersuk LTD.

  • “Customer” refers to the person or business hiring the trailer.

  • “Trailer” refers to the refrigerated trailer and all accompanying equipment.


2. Hire Period

The hire period begins on the agreed collection/delivery date and ends when the trailer is returned/collected. Late returns will incur additional daily charges at the standard daily hire rate.


3. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full prior to or upon delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Deposit must be paid in advance and is refundable subject to inspection on return.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, card payment, stripe.


4. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to hire: Full refund.

  • 3–7 days: 50% of hire fee payable.

  • Less than 72 hours: Full hire fee payable.

  • The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking in the case of unforeseen circumstances; in such cases, any payments made will be fully refunded.


5. Customer Responsibilities

  • The trailer must be used lawfully, kept secure, and returned in a clean, undamaged condition.

  • The Customer is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage during the hire period.

  • The Customer must ensure suitable electrical supply (standard 13A socket or generator).

  • The Customer must not sub-hire or loan the trailer to any third party.


6. Cleaning & Damage Charges

  • A cleaning fee of £___ + VAT applies if the trailer is returned in an unacceptable condition.

  • Any damages will be charged at cost of repair or replacement, including any lost hire income resulting from damages.


7. Breakdowns & Call-Outs

  • In the event of any mechanical failure or issue, the Customer must contact the Company immediately.

  • The Company is not liable for any loss of goods or business interruption caused by trailer malfunction, but will make reasonable efforts to repair or replace.


8. Insurance & Liability

  • The Customer is responsible for insuring the trailer against theft, loss, and damage.

  • The Company accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage caused by misuse or negligence by the Customer.


9. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery/collection is available and quoted separately. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure safe access for trailer delivery and removal.

  • Failed delivery or collection attempts due to Customer unavailability or access issues may incur additional charges.


10. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its control (including severe weather, accidents, or breakdowns).


11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.


By proceeding with the hire, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Agreement Terms

  1. Responsibility
    The customer agrees to be responsible for the refrigerated trailer during the hire period, including all equipment supplied (e.g., shelving, cables, locks).

  2. Insurance & Liability
    It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the trailer against theft, loss, or damage from the moment of delivery/collection until it is returned. Any damage, theft, or loss must be reported immediately.

  3. Trailer Use
    The trailer must only be used for lawful purposes, correctly powered, and kept secure at all times. It must be returned in clean condition. A cleaning fee may apply if returned dirty.

  4. Breakdowns & Support

  5. Payment Terms
